Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Project Start Recruitment Solutions.

About the Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to take a hands-on approach to environmental, health and safety control, arrangements and documentation. This includes preparing, reviewing and updating internal and external EHS policies and documentation in consultation with relevant personnel.

You will be responsible for coordinating the health surveillance programme, analysing reports and producing and owning content for a regular EHS Bulletin.

Additionally, you will oversee vehicle and driver fleet management, ensuring full compliance, and manage internal and external training, liaising with Line Managers and leading monthly Training Meetings.

You will also be responsible for overseeing DSE, PPE and first aid management, consulting on specific concerns and carrying out assessments.

As Chief Fire Marshal, you will maintain the fire risk assessment, oversee fire safety checks, co-ordinate activities of the Fire Marshal Team and lead periodic Fire Marshal Meetings.

You will undertake regular premises inspections, supporting department leads with remedial actions and ensure the Company meets its statutory requirements as regards environment, health, safety and welfare.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review and update internal and external EHS policies and documentation

Requirements:

We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist with a strong background in EHS management.

You will have a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and experience in a manufacturing, semiconductor, engineering or warehousing environment.

You will also have a flexible and conscientious attitude to work, a high standard of written and verbal communication and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
