12-Month Fixed Term Contract Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Management Accounting Manager to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. This full-time position will be based in Derby within our finance department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead and oversee the delivery and reporting strategy of the record-to-report function, managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing timely and accurate financial reports. Your role will involve developing and implementing internal controls, preparing financial statements, and mentoring the management accounting team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, management accounts production, and general ledger management.
  • Develop and maintain accounting controls to ensure financial accuracy and security.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the management accounting team.
  • Optimise financial reporting processes through the finance system and BI team.

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) certification.
  • No less than 8 years of experience in accountancy, financial reporting, and managing multiple entities.
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to analyse financial performance.
  • Experience with change management and reporting within the healthcare industry is desirable.
