Job Description

Clements Young is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee the installation of commercial heat pumps and associated pipework, including the removal of existing heating systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient completion of heat pump installation and pipework projects.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections, as well as revision and production of Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMs).
  • Programme Management: Monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Quality Control: Inspect work quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties, including clients, subcontractors, and the project team.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise on-site, providing effective solutions promptly.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, site reports, and safety documents.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Recent DBS Check: A recent DBS check is required (can be arranged).
  • SMSTS and CSCS Card: Hold a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS Card.
  • First Aid Certification: Hold up-to-date first aid certification.
  • Proven Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with experience in managing commercial heat pump installation being a distinct advantage.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Possess strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management Software: Be proficient in using project management software and tools.
