We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Nursery Chef/Cook to join our team at Glebe Farm Nursery School. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals for our children and ensuring the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery, catering for children with specific dietary needs
- Instill Storal values in food and hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety, and Ofsted guidelines
- Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences
- Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation
- Be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines
- Deputise for the Cook in all absences, with the expectation of deputising full-time when required
- Level 2 Food and Hygiene certification
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role
- Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH
- Alignment with Storal values of responsibility, openness, and working together
- Salary: From £10.47 up to £14.13 per hour based on experience and qualifications
- Storal will cover the cost of transport to the nursery setting
