Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Little Stars Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of early years professionals to deliver exceptional care and education to our youngest children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 0-2 years
  • Develop and implement engaging learning programs that meet the individual needs of each child
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, healthy, and stimulating for children, with a focus on indoor and outdoor learning areas
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest early years research, policies, and best practices to inform your practice

Requirements

  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working in an early years setting, ideally as a Room Leader or similar
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with colleagues and parents
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
