Job Overview:

Manufacturing Workforce are seeking a highly skilled Machining Operations Lead to join their team in Abingdon. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the programming, setting up and operation of all types of CNC mills to achieve optimum safe methods.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leading a team of machinists and ensuring they are trained to operate CNC mills safely and efficiently.
  2. Programing, setting up and operating CNC mills to achieve right first-time products.
  3. Maintaining accurate records of machine performance and making recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

  1. Time served apprenticeship in machining or a related field preferred but not necessary.
  2. Minimum 5 years' experience programming and operating 3, 4 & 5 Axis CNC machines.
  3. Ability to undertake and be responsible for own quality, competent in using MTE and completing quality reports.
