Quality Manager Job Description

Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: Belfast

D R Newitt Recruitment is seeking a Quality Manager to cover a 12-month contract at their Belfast site. In this role, you will oversee and enhance their quality management systems, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and leading key quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Lead key quality initiatives and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop, oversee, and audit all food safety protocols and procedures
  • Manage and maintain all food safety and quality assurance policies, including risk assessments and safety systems
  • Handle customer and supplier complaints, including investigating issues and resolving product non-conformities

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field, such as life sciences, food science, or chemistry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of chemical storage and/or distribution processes (advantageous)
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiar with ERP and database systems
  • Strong commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance
