**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly motivated Psychology Graduate to join our team as a Teaching Assistant in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire.

**Salary:** £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.

**Job Description:**

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant with Teaching Personnel, you will work closely with experienced teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted academic and emotional support to students. This role is ideal for recent Psychology graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting, particularly those considering a future in educational psychology, teaching, or child mental health services.

  • Supporting Student Learning: Collaborate with teachers and the SEN department to adapt learning materials, ensuring students can access the curriculum.
  • Mental Health and Well-being: Utilise your knowledge of psychology to develop strategies that support students' mental health and emotional well-being.
  • Classroom Management: Help manage behaviour in the classroom, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Individual Education Plans: Support the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students requiring additional learning assistance.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Psychology or a related field is essential.
  • A passion for supporting young people and a desire to help them achieve their potential.
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
