About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Service Manager to join our team in Aldershot, Hampshire. As a Deputy Service Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our residential care provision, providing support to individuals with complex needs, and deputising for the manager in their absence.
Responsibilities
As a Deputy Service Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing daily care and support to individuals, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management;
- Building relationships with individuals and their families to understand their needs and preferences;
- Empowering independence by assisting individuals to achieve their goals and develop life skills;
- Promoting social engagement through activities such as arts classes, cooking, and music;
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality person-centred support and adhering to company standards;
- Collaborating with the management team to ensure effective teamwork and efficient service delivery;
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A valid full UK manual driving license;
- Exposure to epilepsy, autism, learning disabilities, and sight loss;
- Managerial skills, including rota management;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends;
- Commitment to delivering high-quality person-centred support;
- Passion for empowering individuals to live ambitious lives;
