About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Caretaker Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of our custody areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for detainees and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough cleaning of custody areas, including floors, walls, and surfaces.
  • Operate specialist equipment and chemicals to maintain high standards of cleaning and hygiene.
  • Support the site manager in general maintenance activities, including planned and reactive works.
  • Provide routine maintenance, including minor repairs and construction, to ensure satisfactory upkeep of police properties.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective planning and prioritization of daily cleaning tasks.
  • Reasonable level of fitness to suit the requirements of the role.
  • Experience in a similar cleaning or caretaking role is desirable but not essential.
