Maintenance Lead Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving our business forward. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our electrical systems, ensuring continuous process availability and meeting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively maintain and optimize all process and auxiliary equipment within the facility, with a focus on improving uptime and reducing costs.
  • Lead and manage a small team of engineers, providing guidance and support in daily operations.
  • Conduct and document maintenance and repair activities, utilizing appropriate maintenance management and IT systems.
  • Implement and drive continuous improvement processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely and effective maintenance solutions.
Requirements:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in a relevant electrical trade, ideally obtained through a recognized apprenticeship program.
  • Proven leadership experience within a service center or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in line management and engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrable expertise in preventative maintenance techniques and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Solid electrical background with a proven track record in maintenance and fault-finding, particularly within a heavy engineering or industrial setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current health and safety regulations.
