Working Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 Friday 07:30 to 12:50

Heatrod Elements Ltd is seeking a skilled Production Technician to work at our site in Bolton. The role is permanent and immediate start is available.

We are the leading manufacturer of heating elements and associated process heating equipment required in domestic and industrial applications. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing one of our value streams, working with the team to ensure our products are manufactured in a timely manner and to the best quality. Part of the role is also to train and support the Production operatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Become part of our production team, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the business.
  • Work according to the SOPs which are applicable to the particular role
  • Train the operatives/apprentices to the agreed standards
  • Manufacture of our products to documented specifications
  • Adhere closely to the production schedule
  • Be the technical expert on specialist equipment and processes
  • Be involved in the scrap reduction activities
  • Set up and run all machinery and equipment
  • Cleaning of machinery and equipment after completion
  • Complete documentation as appropriate
  • Take part in daily meetings with the Production Manager

Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar production/manufacturing role
  • Be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills
  • Great attention to detail, right first time approach
  • Willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
  • An understanding of Manufacturing and Engineering operations
  • Be IT literate
