About the Role

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, focusing on maintaining and achieving high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of our clinical services, learning about the clinical nurse specialist role and its impact on patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients with cancer.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in continuing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research.

Requirements

  • Recent experience as a clinical nurse caring for people with cancer.
  • Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
  • Education to Degree level with evidence of continuing professional development in a relevant area.

Working Arrangements

We are committed to providing a healthy work-life balance for our staff. As part of our efforts to reduce working hours, we are introducing a new working week of 37 hours for full-time staff, with part-time staff receiving a pro-rata reduction. This change will be implemented from 1 April 2024, and we will provide support to staff to adapt to the new working arrangements.
