Tax Senior/Manager Opportunity at Surrey Firm
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Senior/Manager to join our team at a leading firm of independent chartered accountants and chartered tax advisors in Surrey.
As a Tax Senior/Manager, you will be responsible for managing and improving the private client function, which assists with the tax affairs of around 1,000 private clients. You will lead a small Tax team of 5 to review the compliance work of the more junior staff, motivate and develop active studiers, and ensure the work of the team is compliant with up-to-date legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reporting directly to the Partners, you will have overall responsibility and accountability for the department, working closely with all the main stakeholders in the firm to support the firm's portfolio of private clients.
* Responsible for managing and improving the private client function, which assists with the tax affairs of around 1,000 private clients.
* Lead a small Tax team of 5 to review the compliance work of the more junior staff, motivate and develop active studiers, and ensure the work of the team is compliant with up-to-date legislation.
Requirements:
* CTA qualified, perhaps with an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA).
* An ambitious individual looking to develop their career, perhaps making the move from Tax Supervisor looking for their first opportunity as Tax Manager.
* Considerable expertise in personal tax, with the ability to demonstrate technical capability and a desire to continue developing their knowledge.
