We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Preston, Lancashire, UK. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for producing design solutions using AutoCAD / Inventor and associated drawings required for both design proposals and manufacturing details.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement design solutions using CAD software
  • Produce scoping calculations and basic FEA calculations
  • Prepare technical documents such as Basis of Design, Testing Strategies/Schedules, Method Statements etc.
  • Participate in design meetings and technical reviews
  • Undertake Plant / Site Surveys

Requirements:

  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering Required
  • 0-4 years or experience. Recent college graduates encouraged to apply
  • Chartered Engineer/incorporated or working towards and engaged on a programme of Continual Professional Development
  • Working knowledge of standards, regulations, codes and directives and how they should be applied
  • An appreciation and understanding of the Construction & Design Management Regulations
  • A good understanding of manufacturing codes/standards and familiarity of manufacturing techniques
