About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced People Advisor to join our HR function in Newcastle on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will work with the wider people team to deliver expert advice and support to a defined sub-region of the organisation.

  • Provide guidance on employee relations processes to managers and leaders.
  • Enhance managers' and leaders' capabilities in employee relations.
  • Manage sickness absence, offering coaching on adjustments and occupational health.
  • Monitor and address absence trends, advocating early intervention.
  • Demonstrate understanding of local well-being program initiatives.
  • Analyse and report data, producing monthly MI dashboards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Partnering Team to understand local business needs.
  • Lead the development of policies, ensuring operationalization within the region.
  • Adapt processes to meet business needs and create an optimal working environment.
  • Develop tools and training materials for proactive service and manager upskilling.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within the People Services team.
  • Actively participate in the delivery of people priorities and projects.
  • Provide high-quality support for member experiences.

The salary for this position is estimated at around £35,500 per annum based on a 37-hour week. Benefits include private medical insurance, life insurance, accident insurance, income protection insurance, and flexible working.
