Pre-Construction Manager Job Description

At Michael Page International Canada Limited, we are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Manager to lead our pre-construction activities for exciting mixed-use and high-rise projects in London.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Construction Leadership: Oversee the tendering and proposal process for high-rise projects, ensuring competitive submissions and effective budgeting and costing.
  • Project Planning: Create initial project schedules and conduct pre-bid meetings to set clear expectations, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to inform planning and design decisions.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project risks, ensuring project feasibility and alignment with client needs.
  • Client Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships through expert guidance and clear communication throughout the pre-construction phase.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financials, tracking budgets, forecasts, and cash flows to ensure projects remain profitable and on track.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in pre-construction management for high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Skills: Proficient in tendering, proposal, budgeting, risk assessment, and design decision-making, with strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
