The salary for this role is £61,825 - £70,425 per annum, reflecting the exceptional level of expertise required for this position. Job Description

This Senior Clinical Fellow position will be an excellent opportunity for an aspiring general surgeon to gain valuable experience and training in various sub-specialties, including Upper GI, Colorectal, and Breast surgery. As part of a consultant-led team, you will have the chance to work on both acute and elective wards, as well as participate in out-patient clinics, endoscopy, and theatre sessions.

Main Duties

Your key responsibilities will include participating in all teaching opportunities, particularly in the organisation and delivery of undergraduate teaching programmes. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to clinical research and audit, working closely with your Consultant colleagues to develop new ideas and improve patient outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require GMC registration, MBBS or equivalent qualifications, and progress towards Higher Medical Qualification. You must also possess relevant experience in breast & gastrointestinal surgery, evidence of clinical audit, and a major interest and expertise in general surgery. Furthermore, you should have teaching skills and be able to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and medical students.
