Senior Quantity Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction main contractor in Devon. As a key member of the commercial team, you will take commercial responsibility for main contract administration, consultant's administration, and risk management as directed by the Commercial Lead.

This contractor offers a wide range of schemes within new build and refurbishments within Education, Health, Defence, Leisure, and Hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field and proven experience in a senior commercial role within the construction industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying main contract derogations and notifying the Commercial Lead
  • Taking overall responsibility for external, internal, and package risk and opportunity schedules
  • Supporting the project team with commercial and contractual expertise
  • Assessing, reviewing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks
  • Implementing policies for risk management
  • Preparing Subcontract Final Accounts for review and sign-off
  • Valuing works executed by Sub-Contractors
  • Certifying interim and final payments

The salary for this position is approximately £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
