We are delighted to announce a vacancy for a Clinical Perfusion Scientist at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. With a strong focus on cardiac and congenital cardiac surgery, our team delivers exceptional patient care and outcomes. Key Responsibilities

You will be involved in supporting cardiac and congenital cardiac surgery procedures, working closely with our experienced perfusion team. This includes conversing with various surgical techniques, such as left heart bypass, cerebral perfusion, and vacuum-assisted venous drainage. A flexible and innovative approach is essential for this role, which requires adaptability and expertise in responding to individual patient needs.

This role is suitable for individuals who have completed an MSc in Clinical Perfusion Science or possess equivalent knowledge and experience. If you do not yet have clinical exposure, we offer full and comprehensive training to support your growth as a perfusion scientist.

This role attracts an exceptional NHSP rate for additional shifts, a contribution to relocation costs for eligible candidates, and an additional Recruitment and Retention Premium. You will also enjoy a minimum of 35 days paid holiday (pro rata), access to a range of NHS discounts, and a generous pension scheme.
