Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM / Virtual Design and Construction Manager to join our team at CV Library.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Regional/Senior Design Manager in discharging their tender stage tasks and responsibilities.
  2. Review Project Information including Employer's Requirements, Contractor's Proposals, and Design Team appointments to brief the Design Team on their contractual obligations and duties.
  3. Agree Specialist Subcontractor Procurement Strategy with the site team.
  4. Produce and Agree Project Stage Design Programme and associated Design Deliverables with primary, secondary, and specialist subcontract designers.
  5. Establish Project Common Data Environment (CDE) and agree project file structure, virtual file links, email file links, security rights, workflows, and voting rights.
  6. Establish Design Coordination Workshops and Progress Meetings frequency and content.
  7. Produce Design Management Plan (DMP) and BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and monitor compliance.
  8. Closing Out Design Assumptions and Opportunities made during the early stages of design or the tender process.
  9. Verify Design Documentation Compliance on a weekly basis in accordance with the DMP.
  10. Manage Submission and Approval of Reviewable Design Data.
  11. Assist in Commercial and Technical Review of Specialist Subcontract Tender Returns and establish interfaces.
  12. Progress Discharge of Planning Conditions and Building Regulation Matters.
  13. Ensure Design Risk Assessments are Produced for review and approval.
  14. Chair and Record Design Workshops and Meetings outcomes.
  15. Obtain Responses to Designers' TQs from the client's team and specialist subcontractor TQs from primary designers.
  16. Monitor Design Documentation Quality against agreed Design Quality/Key Performance Indicators.
  17. Obtain Design Reports to accompany monthly CVRs.
  18. Progress Approval of Design Certificates including CDM, BREEAM, Secure by Design.
  19. Ensure As-Built Design Documentation Incorporates Changes to primary and secondary design work.
  20. Undertake Design Performance Reviews for all primary, secondary, and specialist subcontractor designers.
  21. Assist Document Controller in Archiving Final Issue Design Documentation and assist in design autopsies on primary/secondary design defects.
  22. Produce Project Specific Best Practice/Lessons Learnt Paper.
