We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Marine Ecologist to join our team at Newcastle University.

The successful candidate will have experience in species distribution modelling and the use of decision support tools, such as spatial prioritisation analyses. They will also be proficient in programming languages like R and Python.

This is a fixed-term position for 26 months, with an estimated salary of £34,866-£36,924 per annum.

You will work collaboratively with researchers and project partners to integrate data and findings from across the Stronger Shores project. Your primary responsibility will be to develop spatial estimates of abundance of foundational species and associated ecosystem services.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to communicate scientific results to a broad or non-specialist audience and contribute to learning and development through the provision of documentation, training, and advice.
