Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Clinical Psychologist to join our Under 18's Eating Disorder Team as part of a friendly and dynamic multi-disciplinary team under direct supervision from an experienced Clinical Psychologist.

About the Role

This band 4 position involves working with young people or families within mental health, utilizing therapeutic approaches such as CBT, ACT, and DBT. The ideal candidate will have a BPS accredited degree in Psychology, knowledge of mental health/eating disorders, and the ability to apply existing knowledge to a mental health context.

Responsibilities
  • To work effectively as part of a team under direct supervision from an experienced Clinical Psychologist.
  • To develop skills in assessment, formulation, and treatment planning using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of systemic and recovery-oriented approaches to understanding and working youth mental health.
Requirements

The post holder will require a BPS accredited degree in Psychology, experience working with young people or families within mental health, and knowledge of mental health/eating disorders. A comprehensive driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are also necessary due to community-based work involving independent travel to rural locations.

Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary, starting annual leave of 27 days per annum increasing to 33 days pa based on length of service, and NHS discounts.
