Job Description

This role involves designing medium/high voltage power systems, using industry-recognized software for analysis and validation, drafting technical reports, and mentoring junior team members. You will also drive improvements in project delivery methods and manage the delivery of small to medium projects.

Key Projects
  • Substation Design: Engage in pre-FEED/FEED design of grid substations and hyper-scale data center campuses (100MW+), focusing on system design principles and equipment selection.
  • Grid Connections: Design grid interconnections for renewable projects, ensuring compliance with UK grid codes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Power Systems Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in an Electrical Engineering role within the power systems field, preferably in consultancy or an OEM/equipment vendor environment, delivering grid substation or renewable projects.
  • Proficiency with power systems analysis software (e.g., DIgSILENT Power Factory, ETAP, or SKM-PTW).
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Cundall offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to balance office and remote work, along with various other benefits.
