About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Audit Professional to join our team at Evelyn Partners in Tunbridge Wells. As an Audit Professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit services to our clients, while also contributing to the growth and development of our team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clients receive an efficient and proactive service, exceeding their expectations throughout the year.
  • Develop commercial awareness of clients' businesses and the impacts on our work.
  • Manage audit assignments, including the arrangement of timetables, booking of staff, and planning review.
  • Contribute to business development activities, such as preparing proposals for new work and attending marketing events.
  • Monitor qualified and student bookings and workloads to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Provide training and development, ensuring assessment forms are completed and feedback is given to staff on all jobs.
  • Manage client billing and commercial awareness of work-in-progress.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) with significant external audit experience in a professional services environment.
  • Experience of working with entrepreneurial, OMB, and SME clients.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, industry specifics, and their application.
  • Strong communication skills for client, partner, staff, and professional liaison.
  • Previous experience in managing and motivating staff to ensure best performance.
  • Organisation to ensure client, partner, and staff needs are met.
  • Monitoring costs against budget for individual clients.
