About the Role

Deichmann is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team in a Middlesbrough store. As a key member of our store management team, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the store team in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Open and close the store, including cash handling and completion of associated administrative duties.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, with a strong focus on product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Lead by example, recommending and promoting complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Assist management in leading the team to achieve store sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Support team members as needed, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure the store is properly merchandised, with visually appealing product displays that attract customers.
  • Process stock deliveries and store transfers, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Address customer queries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Personal Qualities
  • Able to take direction from management regarding additional tasks and duties.
  • Previous supervisory experience, including cash handling and banking.
  • Self-motivated, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, coach, and work with a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a willingness to approach and serve all customers.
  • Drive to exceed monthly performance targets, with a methodical approach to completing daily tasks.
  • High levels of attention to detail, with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to working 20 hours per week, with flexibility to work any day (Monday-Sunday).
Compensation

Competitive hourly rate of up to £12.64 per hour, plus non-contractual hourly sales commission.
