Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum

Austin Fraser's pupil referral unit is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide individualised support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and mental health issues

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or social care
• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting
• A strong understanding of child development and the needs of pupils with special educational needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
