Job Title: HS&E Advisor

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and engaging Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to support our operations in Slough, Berkshire. This role involves assisting with the transition to a new facility and ensuring the smooth transition of HSE programs and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update local HS&E procedures.
  • Deliver local workshops to complement company procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings representing HS&E systems and compliance.
  • Support and undertake HS&E audits and assessments.
  • Ensure regulatory licenses are maintained and relevant.
  • Liaise with safety and environmental representatives.
  • Support the risk management system, including facilitating risk assessments and reviewing control measures.
  • Support the environmental management system, including managing the impacts and aspects register and targets.
  • Support vigilance systems such as life-safety systems.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Certificate minimum; IOSH accreditation at least at affiliate level.
  • Preferably NEBOSH Diploma and/or Environmental qualification.
  • Ideally, a degree or higher.
  • Experience in a previous HSE role.
  • Competent in providing management systems and a risk management approach to HS&E.
  • Effective decision-making skills on the 'shop floor' and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Excellent communication skills, engaging and enthusiastic in promoting HS&E principles.
  • Passionate about creating a culture where people are happy, healthy, safe, and able to thrive.
