Job Title: IT Security EngineerWe're seeking a skilled IT Security Engineer to join our Technology team in Loudwater, Buckinghamshire. As a key member of our Cyber Security team, you'll play a vital role in protecting our IT environment and ensuring the security of our systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and safeguard our IT environment, identifying and mitigating potential security threats
- Provide technical support and development of our security systems, ensuring they're up-to-date and effective
- Assist service desk users with security-related issues, providing expert guidance and support
- Support and maintain security tasks in AD/EntraID, ensuring user group membership and descriptions are accurate
- Ensure all agent updates and patches for security systems are maintained, and escalate major issues as needed
- Minimum 1 year proven experience in an IT Security environment, preferably in a fast-paced retail or multi-site setting
- Understanding of IT Security concepts, including Firewalls, Web Filtering, Virus Protection, encryption, and Threat Management
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and best practices, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with Azure, MS Defender, Purview, and Sentinel is advantageous
