M&E Engineer - North London

We are seeking an experienced M&E Engineer to join our client's team in North London. As a key member of the shift team, you will be responsible for the routine and reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in a highly critical environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure site electrical systems are operated and maintained to the required codes of practice and industry guidelines.
  2. Carry out day-to-day maintenance and reactive issues relating to all the electrical equipment and assets.
  3. Complete information and feedback to computer-based systems, particularly the PPM system.
  4. Carry out fault identification/rectification and escalation when required on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning issues.
  5. Installation and modification of site electrical services.
  6. Maintain effective communication with the Shift Supervisor including plant status, plant isolation, issues arising, ongoing works, and standards of housekeeping.
  7. Ensure any parts required are clearly and accurately stated and any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the Shift Supervisor.
  8. Keep plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas, etc. to the highest level of housekeeping.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in the Building Services industry.
  2. C&G qualified or equivalent in electrical services/maintenance.
  3. 18th Edition IEE: Wiring & Installation competent.
  4. HV Approved Person.
  5. Confined Space entry trained (where required).
  6. Recognised training or apprenticeship.
  7. Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
  8. Demonstrate a good understanding and be technically competent in all building services, in particular UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
