Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Description:
ST Selection is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to lead the financial and commercial aspects of Electrical and Mechanical Construction projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring contracts are delivered within budget, on time, in accordance with specifications, and in line with Company procedures and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Undertake all valuations and applications for payment
  2. Expedite certification of applications
  3. Manage cash collection efforts (certification and retentions)
  4. Liaise and work closely with Project and Site Managers on all aspects of the project
  5. Produce ongoing cash flow forecasts based on project programs and progress
  6. Produce and maintain an ongoing draft final account, and submit the same with each valuation to ensure the client is kept fully informed of their obligations
  7. Produce and maintain clear Cost to Complete assessments of all contracts defending against margin erosion
  8. Actively develop Major Works understanding of all commercial aspects relating to their business
  9. Maintain accurate contract records, including digitisation and local storage of such

Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of Design and Build contracts and processes
  2. Knowledge of Standard Forms of Contracts
  3. Minimum 1 year's experience in a Quantity Surveying role in a mechanical or engineering environment
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Working towards membership of the RICS or other similar QS qualification
