Senior Accountant Position Overview

Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join their team in Edgware. As a senior member of staff, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing annual financial statements, tax compliance, and supervising junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accounts preparation: Prepare and review annual financial statements for a variety of clients.
  2. Tax Compliance: Prepare personal and corporate tax returns, and VAT returns.
  3. Supervising and reviewing: The work of junior members of the team.
  4. Client Management: Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the main point of contact.
  5. Management accounts: Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  6. Advisory services: Offer clients strategic advice on business structuring, financial planning, and other financial matters.
  7. Compliance and reporting: Ensure that all statutory deadlines for tax, accounts, and audit are met.
  8. Overseeing day-to-day operations, supporting partners.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Preferably fully qualified or QBE.
  2. Experience in a senior position within a practice, preferably overseeing practice operations.
  3. Minimum of 5 years accountancy practice experience.
  4. Able to work in the Edgware office.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary, ranging from £40-55k, depending on experience. You will also receive:

  1. Fully office-based role - Mon-Fri - 9am-5pm.
