Extrusion Press Technician

At WeldFit, the position of Extrusion/Press Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacture of extrusions and round-up pressing for extrusions. This role requires the ability to maintain, repair, and optimize equipment for productivity and safety. Key responsibilities include:

Main Responsibilities:

• Learn and adhere to all safety precautions related to press operations, including handling hot materials and inspecting extruded products.
• Record and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs on preventive maintenance stickers.
• Use basic hand tools, measuring devices, and machinery to install, inspect, and test equipment.
• Determine the nature of damage to parts and use repair tools to rework or refurbish worn or damaged components.
• Perform regular checks and balances on machines to ensure proper functioning.
• Reassemble equipment and test performance as needed.

Experience and Requirements:

• A minimum of one year of general experience or equivalent competence level in machine operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.

• Blueprint reading skills.
• Mathematic aptitude.
