Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our accounts team in Weybridge. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in an accountancy practice or accounts department within a UK-based organisation.

About the Role:

  • Performing complex bookkeeping tasks for a range of clients across various industries.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Preparing management accounts.
  • Demonstrating strong knowledge of working with limited companies.
  • Delegate basic bookkeeping to external colleagues, reviewing this work on completion.
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships, handling ad-hoc queries, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in an accountancy practice or accounts department within a UK-based organisation.
  • Extensive knowledge of Xero is essential; additional experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients.
  • Strong initiative, along with the ability to delegate tasks and support the development of junior staff members.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and effective time management skills.

Benefits:

  • Salary dependent on experience (likely £30,000-£40,000) plus benefits package.
  • This is likely to be an office-based opportunity, but home working may be agreeable for the right candidate after passing probation.

Estimated Salary: £32,500 per annum
