Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Midwife to join our dynamic team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, woman-centred care to our patients.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in midwifery, with experience of working in both hospital and community settings. You will be responsible for providing midwifery care to mothers experiencing normal pregnancy and birth, as well as those requiring obstetric care.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care, while also contributing to the development of our maternity services. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive work environment, where you can grow and develop your skills and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality midwifery care to patients, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care
  • Contribute to the development of our maternity services, including quality improvement initiatives and service development projects
  • Participate in education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge
Person Specification

We are looking for a Registered Midwife with:

  • Experience of working in midwifery, with a strong background in providing high-quality care to patients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • A positive attitude to personal growth and development, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
