South Tyneside Educational Psychology Service is a dynamic and supportive team of educational psychologists, specialist teachers, and emotional resilience officers. We maintain excellent working relationships with schools, other professionals, and the Local Authority. Our Service offers a wide range of work, including training, therapeutic work, systemic work, and research, using various psychological tools and methods.
You will have a designated patch of schools and the opportunity to engage in a variety of work, including critical incident support, research, and supervision. We welcome areas of interest that a candidate may bring to the role, as we are always seeking to develop innovative ways of working with schools. We also offer opportunities for candidates to progress to Senior Practitioner Educational Psychologist in an area that they wish to specialise in. We are committed to providing opportunities for continuing professional development.

We are located in a modern, environmentally friendly building with free car parking. Educational Psychologists have their own individual workstations and ICT facilities. Our team is highly rated by schools and has a successful traded offer. We have strong links with the professional training programme at Newcastle University.
The post is subject to registration as a qualified Educational Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council.
