Higher Level Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant in a Vale of Glamorgan secondary school. As a key member of our academic team, you will provide essential support to the class teacher and students, helping to create a stimulating and productive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and activities, ensuring students receive the best possible education.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, helping to increase their confidence and motivation.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as preparing resources and helping with lesson planning.
  • Uphold and adhere to school policies and procedures related to child protection, health, and behavior.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working with 11-16 year olds or a willingness to develop a career in education.
  • Confidence in building relationships with pupils and supporting their learning.
  • Initiative to prevent constant support from the class teacher.
  • No criminal convictions and a valid DBS (we can assist with obtaining one if needed).
  • Registration with the Educational Workforce Council (we can assist with this too).
