This role is responsible for leading the Primary Care Mental Health Team, working closely with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality mental health services to patients in primary care settings.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the team, ensuring that services are delivered in accordance with best practice and national guidelines.
- Working closely with primary care providers to develop and implement mental health services that meet the needs of patients.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and effective communication.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of mental health services.
- Providing supervision and support to team members, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality services.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree-level qualification in a relevant field, supplemented by a postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience.
- Recent evidence-based professional development, with a portfolio of continuing professional development.
- Experience of working in a Band 6 role or equivalent clinical experience.
- Awareness of national and local transformation work, with experience of working in a mental health setting.
- Ability to work proactively and effectively with primary care and voluntary sector partners.
The successful candidate will have experience of using electronic patient/service user record systems and other computer systems.
Managerial/Supervisory ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have evidence of proactive involvement in the supervision and development of members of the multi-disciplinary team, with management responsibilities in a health or social care setting.
