About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team in Glasgow. A background in the water industry is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects from tender through to final account stage.
- Produce accurate project cost forecasts.
- Manage subcontract works packages, including interim assessments and change management.
- Ensure smooth daily commercial operations on projects.
- Efficiently handle procurement management.
- Interpret and evaluate expenditure reports with precision.
- Prepare and issue subcontractor documentation as required.
- Assess compensation events and issue early warning notices when necessary.
- Provide commercial support to operational teams and stakeholders.
- Effectively engage with internal and external decision-makers.
Requirements:
- Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-volume project environments.
- Previous involvement in the water sector, especially on MEICA projects, is preferred.
- Strong capabilities in commercial management and subcontractor procurement.
- Proactive approach to managing risk and seizing opportunities.
- Familiarity with NEC contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for handling large datasets.
- Ideally, prior experience in water projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
