About Your New Role:

This position supports civil maintenance, repair and construction activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hydroelectric facility.

Working closely with engineers, contractors and other technical teams ensures the integrity of infrastructure and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical services to the Civil Engineering Manager and team.
  • Interpret and monitor dam behavior.
  • Manage civil and dam safety projects and complete reports on works and civil inspections.
  • Create specifications, tenders and procurements for projects.
  • Manage standard operating procedures, risk assessments and method statements for works.
  • Carry out topographical surveying and provide AutoCAD or similar services as required.
Requirements
  • 3 years' experience in civil engineering, construction, surveying or equivalent.
  • Qualification at NFQ Level 7 or above in Civil, Construction, Surveying or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills, including report and specification writing.
  • Proficiency in PC use and programmes such as MS Office.
  • Use of survey equipment and proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting programmes.
  • Full clean driving license.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in dams/dams monitoring.
  • Knowledge of safe systems of work, permitting and isolating processes.
  • Experience in safety/quality/environmental and site management of contractors.
  • Knowledge or experience of engineering/document management systems.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum.
