People Operations Specialist

Climate Action is seeking a highly skilled People Operations Specialist to provide support to all aspects of working at the company, including Recruitment, HR support & administration, facilities management, internal events coordination, travel arrangements, communications, company administration, and general office management.
This stand-alone role reports directly to the COO and aims to enhance the smooth running of the business by acting as a liaison between the business and property management company regarding lease renewal, insurance policies, equipment maintenance, or queries with supplies, invoices, and billing.
Main Responsibilities- Ownership of all new vacancies, from creating job specs right through to placement, utilizing various recruitment platforms and tools.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates, with expertise in designing and executing recruitment strategies.
- Demonstrated experience working within the UK HR framework, with a solid understanding of UK employment laws, regulations, and best practices, providing day-to-day HR support to the business on performance management, employee relations, salary/bonus planning, and employee engagement.
- Manage the HR Database and employee folders, completion of all HR administration, and manage the outsourced payroll & pension scheme administration.
- Support the delivery, communications, and roll-out of team building and wellbeing initiatives and company benefits/policies (flexi-time, private healthcare, coaching, and mentoring).
- At least 8 years of professional experience with minimum of 5 years in recruitment, HR, and office management roles, with experience in a managerial capacity.
- Strong skills in managing employee relations, fostering a positive workplace culture, and implementing effective HR practices.
- Solid understanding of HR policies and procedures, with experience in implementing company culture initiatives.
- Estimated annual salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on location and experience.
- 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
