About the Role
In our fast-growing company, we're seeking an experienced Senior Scientist to join our expanding Translational Oncology Department at Alderley Park. As a key member of our team, you will support in vivo aspects of drug discovery projects, utilizing specialist oncology disease models and driving the development and application of imaging capabilities within the department. Your expertise in live imaging platforms, specifically bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging, is essential.

**Responsibilities:**
  • Apply scientific and technical knowledge in the use of imaging platforms (bioluminescence and fluorescence) for in vivo oncology models
  • Leverage oncology pharmacology models to advance drug discovery
  • Provide technical oversight in areas of expertise
  • Independently plan, design, and execute work plans, managing time effectively to meet project goals
  • Conduct critical analysis and interpretation of experimental data
  • Coordinate and deliver high-quality scientific data and interpretations to clients and project teams
  • Present scientific findings, interpretations, and recommendations internally and externally with minimal guidance
  • Provide guidance or mentorship to less experienced team members
  • Potentially supervise junior team members
