Design Technology Technician Opportunity in North London

We are partnering with a dynamic secondary school in Haringey, North London, to recruit a Design Technology Technician for the upcoming academic year. This exciting position begins immediately, subject to a successful trial day and interview, and will run for the full academic year.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Design Technology department by assisting teachers with lesson preparation, managing the DT workshop, and providing technical guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist teachers with the setup and preparation of practical lessons and projects.
  2. Manage and maintain the DT workshop, equipment, and resources to ensure a safe learning environment.
  3. Provide technical support and guidance to students during their design and construction processes.
  4. Organize stock, monitor inventory, and order materials as needed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience as a DT Technician in a secondary school or a related field, such as engineering or art. Key skills include experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD), knowledge of 3D printing systems, and the ability to handle various materials.
