Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at McCann Birmingham. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a selection of our agency's accounts, handling multiple projects to ensure consistency and quality of delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead forward planning and hold regular status meetings with account teams to keep communication open.
- Set up and run ignition meetings at the beginning of every project to ensure all team members are clear on the agreed actions and plan.
- Partner closely with Account Handling and discipline leads to manage client scope of work across multiple channels and manage multiple agency partners.
- Produce fee estimates and scope of work documents, gaining relevant approvals before starting work and tracking project burn rates by client.
- Track and report incremental scope opportunities.
- Produce accurate timing plans, agreed with all parties.
- Work closely with the Project Director, Creative Services Director, ECD, and Studio Manager to define and book resource, considering the skill sets required for the project.
- Schedule and attend creative review meetings, facilitating attendance of key stakeholders and ensuring meetings start and finish on time with clear deliverables.
- Hold regular catch-ups with the Account Management team to monitor and control the creative and production workflow on your account(s).
- Work closely with producers to ensure they see the work prior to client presentation and have the opportunity to comment and raise any concerns.
- Attend production meetings and client presentations as required.
- Ensure client expectations are set and met appropriately and fed through the account team structure.
- Advocate for all internal processes.
- Ensure the right people are involved at each key stage of the project.
- Work with other Project Managers within the team to ensure awareness of all live projects and plan and prioritize accordingly.
- Be the calming and motivating influence in the team.
- Use knowledge of individuals' strengths to ensure effective teamwork.
- Make sure effective agreements are reached quickly and with minimum disruption to the workflow when disruptions and conflict arise.
- Communicate project changes quickly and clearly, ensuring all project participants are always understood.
- Apply strong written and verbal communication.
- Be the go-to person/lynch pin of the project.
- Produce fee estimates and scope of work documents, gaining relevant approvals before starting work.
- Ensure the creative teams know how much time they have on a project and keep communication high if the time is not enough or if we are starting to go over.
- Attend weekly financial meetings with the relevant financial controller/account team to review financial status on live projects.
- Accurately estimate and manage client approvals.
- Issue purchase orders to suppliers and check against purchase invoices.
- Reconcile every project on completion.
- Ability to contribute to the development and execution of creative work.
- Proactive with a 'can do' attitude and solution-focused.
