As a Smart Meter Installation Specialist at Orion Electrotech Ltd, you will play a crucial role in the safe installation, maintenance, and removal of smart meters. With our company entering a period of growth and expansion across the UK, we are looking for a skilled professional to join our team.

Job Description:

As a Smart Meter Installation Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful deployment of smart meters, while also providing excellent customer service. You will work closely with our team to respond to maintenance or emergency appointments, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely install, maintain, and remove smart meters
  • Respond to maintenance and emergency appointments
  • Provide exceptional customer service

We offer a competitive salary of £52,000 per annum, paid on a day rate basis. Additionally, you will be entitled to bonuses, including an attendance bonus of £150 per calendar month, pro-rated for holiday, and a KPI bonus of £150 per calendar month, based on a 75% completion rate. We also offer a referral scheme of up to £500 per referral, van, tools, and fuel supplied by Orion Electrotech Ltd.

In terms of call-out and weekend work, you can expect to work one week in four, with a standby payment of £10 per day, Monday to Friday. If called out, you will receive a flat rate of £200 per day, regardless of the day of the week.

Requirements:
  • Hold current smart metering qualifications on CCN1/CMA1 and MET1 or equivalent
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Have previous practical experience as a Dual Fuel Smart Meter Engineer of no less than one year
  • Subject to a DBS check
