Machinist Specialist

Job Description

Safran Seats, a leading manufacturer of premium seating and technology, is seeking a skilled Machinist Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC lathes and vertical machining centres to manufacture high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

• Download programs from the file server and set up CNC tooling assemblies
• Setup and run CNC machining centres, ensuring quality and adherence to safety procedures
• Prove out new NPI programs and use inspection equipment to monitor tolerance requirements
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance tasks, maintaining safe operations and adhering to safety procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and complete necessary paperwork

Requirements

Indentured apprentice or equivalent modern apprenticeship, experienced in setting and running 3-axis and 5-axis vertical machining centres and CNC lathes. NVQ Level 2+3 mechanical engineering or equivalent. Ability to use a wide range of inspection equipment to facilitate the inspection of completed components.
