We are seeking highly skilled and experienced freelance interpreters to join our team at Language Empire. As a leading provider of interpreting and translation services, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a variety of clients across the UK.

About the Role

As a freelance interpreter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality interpreting services to clients in a range of settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations. You will work independently, using your own equipment and resources, and will be expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpreting for clients in a range of settings, including face-to-face, telephone, and video conferencing
  • Providing accurate and reliable interpreting services, with a focus on 100% accuracy
  • Working with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and adapting your interpreting style accordingly
  • Maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Continuously developing your skills and knowledge to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • Fluent English language skills, with a strong understanding of UK culture and customs
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple clients and deadlines
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
