About the Role

MindWise is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in a community-based setting. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by mental health issues to live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and empowerment to individuals affected by mental health issues, underpinned by the recovery model.
  • Support individuals to access the right support early and encourage healthy lifestyle choices, including physical activity and healthy eating.
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and stable environment for individuals experiencing mental health issues, improving their quality of life and reducing social isolation.
Requirements
  • Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English or GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • A minimum of 3-6 months recent experience in providing support to individuals with mental health issues, or equivalent experience in another care setting.
  • Ability to work various shifts, including days, nights, evenings, and weekends.
  • NISCC Registration or eligibility to register from commencement of role.
  • Alignment with MindWise's core values of Passion, Respect, Empathy, Togetherness, Openness, and Transparency.
