Mechanical Fitters Required for Generator Assembly

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of large generator sets, working as part of a team with electrical fitters and semi-skilled fitters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble generator sets as part of a team
  • Maintain plant and electrical equipment to minimum legal standard
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are maintained at all times

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Mechanical discipline
  • Team co-ordination skills
  • Effective communicator
  • Organised approach
  • Familiarity with systems
  • Interpret electrical schematics & instrumentation drawings

Desirable:

  • Engineering HNC standard minimum
  • At least 3 years experience

Working Hours:

Dayshift - Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 0630 to 0730 start times (40 hours basic working week). Overtime available.
