Hounslow Talking Therapies, a well-established mental health service in West London, is seeking an experienced Trainee High Intensity CBT Therapist. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care to our community members suffering from anxiety and depression.

About the Role

We offer a one-year paid fixed-term training contract, starting in March 2025, which includes on-the-job training and education at Royal Holloway, University of London. Our team provides cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) assessments and treatment to individuals with moderate to severe depression and anxiety. As a Trainee Therapist, you will work closely with our diverse team, including professionals with various qualifications and experiences.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver CBT assessments and NICE-recommended treatments to clients presenting with moderate to severe depression and anxiety.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and contribute to the overall framework of our team's policies and procedures.
  • Develop good therapeutic relationships with clients from different cultural backgrounds and ages.
  • Provide advice and consultation on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and other carers.
  • Participate in weekly clinical supervision, monthly reflective practice, and daily duty/debrief system.

Requirements
  • A recorded or registered qualification in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy, or a related field at graduate level.
  • Demonstrable experience working in mental health services and ability to manage own caseload and time.
  • Ability to meet agreed service targets, develop good written communication skills, and use clinical supervision positively.
Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum
